About
Jose Acosta
Acosta
creates lively paintings infused with dynamic forms, vibrant bright colors,
swirling figures, and vivacious energy.
His spectacular Van Goghesque textures consistently
electrify global audiences. In fact, his
unique animated surfaces are universally acclaimed to be among the most
exhilarating and alluring surface-treatments available in 21st
Century painting. Born in San Jose,
Cuba, he came to the United States with his family at the tender young age of
three. His paintings and art generally
depict or suggest his cultural history, as well as examining his general
surroundings and daily experiences.
Yet, his powerful, emotive, as well as playful Neo-neoexpressionistic style forcefully communicates authentic
passion, which bursts from his immense and loving heart --- as the
mainspring of both his artistic and everyday life.
